Mrs. van Rensburg has progressive work ethic, and her persistence encourages students to strive for their best. In and out of the classroom she has instilled my need to know more about music. Besides for being my vocal coach in school, Mrs. Van Rensburg exposed me to opportunities to study music, music technology and in a practical space, the industry. It was an honor to be taught by Mrs. Van Rensburg and have her facilitate my growth as a student of music.

Mrs. van Rensburg has been a wonderful teacher. She comes to our lesson’s enthusiastic and excited. She has helped me to develop the confidence to perform in front of an audience. At times she set high expectations for me to meet, but always gave me the encouragement and support to meet them.

With a very welcoming and kind-hearted spirit, Mrs. Van Rensburg helped improve my life in many ways. Academically, my grades increased. My social life improved, by me knowing when to have fun and when to focus. Lastly, in my personal life I improved by her continuously encouraging me to achieve my personal goals, how to deal with certain issues in my life, and to put my all into my career. Mrs. Van Rensburg played a vital role in my life and at school, she became more than just a teacher to me, and she often said that she became my “School Mom”.

In my personal experience, even though Mrs van Rensburg has never been my official vocal coach only Glee Club coach, she has been much more to me in my singing journey and performance adventure. She has always offered me singing advice and above all always made my times with her feel safe. She ensured that I was confident even when I started off shy, she brought me out of my shell. Mrs van Rensburg is supportive, kind and definitely the best vocal teacher I have ever had. She has helped me to become the confident performer I am today. I continue to learn and grown, as a singer and performer, with her involvement.

Mrs. van Rensburg is my life coach. She is there when I am happy, sad, and even when I have learnt a new song and I am dying for someone to listen to me sing it. When I did my first competition, that had its’ ups and downs, she was there through it all motivating me. The first time that I joined of a choir, was because of her encouragement!
