Nicole van Rensburg started her career as a performing musician. She is a singer, flute, and Saxophone player, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Music. She performed all over the country at various weddings, corporate functions, private functions, and released five solo music albums.

While continuing to pursue her performance career she also taught private one-on-one music lessons to students at Dainfern College in Johannesburg in 2006-2015. During this time, her passion for teaching developed.

In 2016 she accepted a full-time teaching position as a founding member of the new school, Reddford House The Hills in Pretoria, which is part of the Inspired Group of Schools. She completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education in her pursuit of gaining knowledge to improve her teaching skills.

In her time at Reddford House The Hills she taught many subjects including Music, Drama, Art, Computers and Life Orientation to various age groups. She loves the interaction with the students and getting to know them as individuals. Helping students to become more confident in their own “specialness” and unique abilities is something that she strives to do in each class that she teaches. Through her interactions with the students, she realised that there are so many things that the students desperately need to learn that are not covered in any of the subjects in school. She then started searching for what she needed to study to be able to help in these areas.

She eventually discovered Life Coaching and immediately knew that this was the answer. She attained her certifications in Life Coaching in many areas of focus including Neuro-linguistic Programming, confidence, and Emotional intelligence. She also did her Master NLP Life Coaching certification. The skills learnt when becoming a Life Coach changed her personal life so profoundly that she is fully confident in the amazing change that Life Coaching can bring to anyone’s life.

This is when EmpowerMe Coaching SA was born. “My dream for EmpowerMe Coaching SA is to help anyone, students and adults, learn skills that will improve their lives and make them more resilient, confident and in control of their own futures. My vision is to grow this business to also offer coaching to students in other schools, as well as students in the online and home-schooling communities, with the employment of more life coaches.”
